零、自我介紹
我的職涯期許:成為一個國小課後翻轉教育老師,讓孩子更認識「鄉土」,也能在這個階段多多探索探索自我。

一、驚艷:有備而來的老師
Cindy老師是我在Amazing talker遇過的第四位老師,也是目前遇過最「有備而來」的一位。我想主因是她是「全職的線上英文老師」。

老師除了能在文件間流暢切換,也能很熟捻的加上筆記備註,讓人驚艷。
Cindy 為體驗課準備了以下的檔案:
1.Free talk:自我介紹的項目
2.單字清單:乘上啟下,近一步了解學生程度
3.短文:請學生唸、推敲再進階一些語詞的詞義
4.課程安排:說明往後50分鐘的正式課程,如何規劃內容。也馬上提出上課頻次及長度的建議。

老師對線上教學的熟稔讓人驚艷,自己也會因為她對體驗課的態度而有改變並期待。

二、啟發:30分鐘的可能
在此之前,我對自己學英文的目的、願意投入多少錢和時間都沒有具體的想法。但這次的體驗除了讓我更有信心能可以在Amazing有效率的進修英文,也啟發我:可以向Cindy老師一樣「有備而來」,可以藉此「用30分鐘與世界各地的人會友」。

三、疑慮、困難與挑戰
因為老師似乎有慣用的教材,所以我不確定

1.「課程主題」能否符合我的需求?不論是為了直接應用在職場上,還是為了能「暢所欲言」分享近況

2.「媒材」是不是只有文件?期待有podcast和影片等等



困難與挑戰

1.因為口音的關係,在聽力上多了些挑戰

2.老師解釋詞彙的方式,我沒辦法很快理解。如果能直接造句就更好了吧




四、期許
自知自己不是個主動學習者,課程最後我和老師提出希望每次都能有作業:包含複習這次上課的口說,讓自己表達能更精確;也為下次的「課程主題」做準備。

期待自己能用英文打開更多窗戶。像熊仔一樣可以深掘外國饒舌歌手的詞和曲;像博恩一樣能把外國喜劇演員

i. Introduction
My Career aspiration: To become elementary school teacher who guides the students with flipped teaching method, helping children get familiar with local knowledge (history , polotics, and culture) and explore themselves more deeply during this stage.


1. Impression: A Prepared Teacher
Ms. Cindy is the fourth teacher I've met on Amazing Talker, and she's by far the most prepared. I think it's because she is a full-time online English teacher. She seamlessly switched between documents and added notes on them, which was impressive.

For the trial class, Cindy prepared these materials:
*)Free talk: Topics for self-introduction
*)Vocabulary list: To find out the student's level
*)Short text: For student to read aloud. There are more advanced vocabulary for teacher to check my understanding
*)Lesson plan: Outline the formal 50 minutes session ( with the suggestion to the frequency and duration of future classes)

Her mastery of online teaching and was astonishing and attitude toward the trial class has changed mine as well, making me look forward to more.


2. Inspiration: 30 Minutes Can Be Powerful
Before this, I didn't have a clear idea of my English learning goals, what my budget is and how many efforts I was willing to improve myself. But this trial not only gave me confidence in effectively learning English on this platform but also inspired me. Just like Cindy, I can be prepared and try to make the most of 30 minutes making friends from around the world.


3. Concerns, Difficulties, and Challenges
Since the teacher seems to have preferred teaching materials, I'm unsure if:
*)The course topics will meet my needs. No matter it's for direct application in the workplace or for free conversation to share updates.
*)The "teaching materials" are limited to documents. I hope there are diverse materials like podcasts ,videos
As for Challenges
Due to accent differences, there were some challenges in listening comprehension.
When Ms. Cindy explained the new words ,I couldn't quickly get it and know how to use them actually. It would be better if she could provide examples in sentences.

4. Expectations
Knowing I'm not a proactive learner, I suggested to Ms. Cindy assigh the homework after each class, including reviewing the speaking from this class to improve my wording accuracy and prepare for the next class's topic.

I hope that my English skills could be good enough for learning whatever I want, just like rapper Kumachan digging into the lyrics and music of foreign rap artists, and stand up comedian Brian Tseng analyzing and acquiring various methods from English speaking comedians.
